April Showers Bring May Flowers

Fall-planted bulbs are an encouraging dose of color in the early spring. Lots of planting lies ahead to bring summer's flowers, but these bulbs just wake up and grow with the labor of digging a distant memory. Pruning the old apple tree provides greens and more flower buds to fill out a bouquet.

I'm already scheming about where to plant more of these beauties this fall...
