Here at Humble Bee, the seasons are our anchor. In the spring, we swim in tulips and ranunculus. The summer brings peonies, then zinnias, sunflowers and more. Now, here we are at the beginning of fall - dahlias love the cool nights, until a hard frost, and very shortly we’ll be enjoying heirloom chrysanthemum.
This summer was a challenging season in many ways, but our network of growers, and to a lesser extent, my garden, have made it possible to create beautiful, seasonal designs for your special occasions.
In between my hands-on work with the flowers, I’ve been working on lots of things behind the scenes - this fall will bring updates to our storefront space, branding, and more. A small business tends to be an evolving thing, and I’m generally one to consider any changes carefully.
An upgraded floral cooler for the shop is expected around the end of October, and once that is in place, you will find me in the shop more often. In the interim, I am mostly keeping my fresh flowers in my home studio cooler.
Pre-orders or checking in with a quick call or text remain the best ways to ensure I can provide you with the flowers you need, when you need them. I have also added an order form at the bottom of the SHOP page, so that you can submit the details of your request at your convenience.
