Winter at Humble Bee

Updated: 5 days ago

While the Solstice is still a few weeks away, the arrival of December brings us to Meteorological Winter. The shift in the season brings cold temperatures, occasional storms, early sunsets, and changes in focus for many as we approach the holidays and end of the year.

It makes less sense for us to stock perishable fresh flowers during these weeks when folks are pulled in so many other directions. If you are looking for fresh flowers for a larger arrangement or event, I can special order those for you with advance notice.

Instead, I have evergreens and everlastings (dried flowers in sooo many colors) -- easy, long-lasting ways to celebrate the season. If you're looking for something for Christmas, these can be picked up or delivered early, before I close up to celebrate with my own family.

Also in stock are cards, candles, glassware and pottery.

For last-minute shoppers or future fresh flowers, gift cards are a great option and can be purchased online anytime (even when the shop is closed!).

The shop will be closed & deliveries unavailable for the following dates:

  • Tuesday, December 9

  • Sunday, December 21 through Sunday, December 27

  • Thursday, January 1 through Sunday, January 4

Fresh flowers should start to trickle back onto the menu mid-January as we start to get back in the swing of things leading up to Valentine's Day.

Wishing you a warm and cozy winter, with simple pleasures and lots of opportunities to connect with nature!

-Kristen
