May Days

Wow, spring is busy! After the subdued quiet of winter, as we approach May, it seems like everything is happening at once.

Ordering has opened for Mother's Day (May 10), prom & spring formals, and while there are many other events coinciding, there's only so much I can do in a day, so pre-orders are essential to ensure you can get our lovely mix of local and domestic blooms for your special occasion.

Later in the month, there are a few days that the shop will be closed and deliveries are not available.

Monday, May 18th: I'll be visiting Johnny's Seeds with the Maine Flower Collective to learn more about their research into season extension. This is a key topic, as the times a florist sees peak demand are the "shoulder" seasons when things don't grow as easily in our climate. Some great work is being done to create better availability for locally grown flowers outside of peak growing months.

Saturday, May 23rd - Monday, May 25th: I will be out of town celebrating my 20 Year Reunion at my alma mater Mount Holyoke College. It's also Memorial Day weekend. Orders will be available for the morning of Friday, May 22nd if booked in advance.

After that, I'll be bouncing around between the garden and the shop, and getting ready for June weddings and other events! I do still have availability for some 2026 dates, so please get in touch via the inquiry form if you're interested in including our seasonal flowers in your event.

Valentine hearts
