Celebrating Spring

The long-awaited Vernal Equinox is upon us! From now until the Solstice, the days will be longer than the nights, bringing joy to all solar-powered beings (myself included).

While we still have a couple months until we can reliably lean into 100% local flowers & foliage, the ingredients I source from US & Canadian growers evoke the season - blooms like tulips and ranunculus that thrive in cooler temperature; delicate ferns that remind us ours will soon unfurl. Very locally we have pussy willow and forsythia, which add lovely texture and architecture to arrangements.

This year I have reintroduced plants to our offerings and have been enjoying putting together custom planters. This daffodil mix was a welcome reminder that spring is coming.

Spring Equinox Stem Bar

I’m clearing my schedule for this special occasion. The shop will be open with flowers by the stem, refreshments, and a raffle for a 3 Month Flower Subscription:

Friday, 3/20, 3pm - 6pm

Saturday, 3/21, 9am - 12pm

Grab just a few stems, make a bouquet, or make a vase arrangement (I’m available to help)!

For store hours on other days, I’ve added a new page to the website. Most days it’s just me doing it all, so if you would like to drop in and pick something up same day, texting first helps us both!
