Locally-made Valentine's gifts

Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? I like to remind folks that they can buy flowers any day of the year, but it remains one of the biggest floral gift giving holidays. Because of the sheer volume required for this one day, and the logistical ease of offering a limited number of options, the majority of offerings consist of imported red roses. (If you are curious about the logistics, check out this article from Supply Chain Dive.)

However, I know I'm not the only one who likes a little more creativity and variety, so I've partnered up to offer one-stop retail shopping experiences for the holiday. Pine Tree Pop Up and Humble Bee Flowers are teaming up with for unique gifts from local makers.: letterpress cards, handmade vases, jewelry, all-natural candles, felted ornaments and American-grown flowers. We will be traveling to two locations.

The weekend before, you can get a head start with our Sip & Shop event at Smuttynose Brewery in Hampton, NH, where we'll be adjacent to their retail store and tasting room. Try a new brew while you pick out a gift (or treat yourself). Catch us February 9 and 10 from 12-6 p.m.

On Valentine's Day (that's Thursday, February 14 for those of you non-florists), we travel north to the Dana Warp Mills in Westbrook where Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott will be hosting us from 12-4 p.m. alongside delicious, made-from-scratch baked goods. You can even pre-order your goodies on their website.

If you can't make it to these events, but would still like to choose our special selection of American-grown flowers, delivery or pickup in Berwick will be available on February 13. And we are happy to help you add something from the Pine Tree Pop Up collection if you wish.

Thanks, as always for supporting small, local businesses, artisans, and growers!
