It has been a while since my last post! But that doesn't mean there isn't any news to share, in fact, it's quite the opposite! I have been a busy bee, delivering more flowers throughout the local community than ever.
While I had many reasons for developing this business, one of them was a desire to get out of the daily commute. It drove me a little nuts to drive to the office, just to sit in front of the computer most of the day, and then battle the traffic again to get back home. Now, I get to enjoy the flexibility of working from home (as many people have discovered over the past couple of years!), and my trips have a purpose, collecting flowers from our local growers and then delivering them to your homes and businesses for every occasion imaginable. Now, I pass by homes in my community and wonder how those new parents are doing, or remember a romantic gesture from your last anniversary.
The community connections don't stop there. I have had the pleasure of getting to know and collaborate with many local business owners as well, from the handmade gifts available in my online shop, to new retail partners stocking grab-and-go bouquets. And of course, the underpinning of it all is the flowers grown in farm fields and greenhouses throughout the region (and the floral wholesalers putting up with my requests for only American-grown flowers through the colder season). Whenever possible, I delight in being able to tell you exactly where each stem was grown!
As I finish putting the garden to bed for the season, I'm looking forward to seeing many new & familiar faces at the upcoming Berwick Winter Farmers' Market, held on the second Sunday of each month from December to April, as well as a Thanksgiving market on November 20th to kick it off.
Thank you for your support to continue making these community connections stronger!
